A family is now buying plenty of dog toys to spoil their pet with as after being stolen five years ago, he was finally returned.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier T-Bone was taken from the family drive when he was seven years old. However he was then found riding a bus from Birmingham to Solihull and his microchipped showed that he belonged to the Oats family.

Ms Oats said that when she was told T-Bone had been found, she broke down in tears as the news had come from nowhere.

She told the Daily Mail: "We have bought him a collar, as he didn't have one. He likes squeaky toys and balls. He likes pigs trotters, so we will get him some for this year."

The 12-year-old now has a few health issues, including a cyst on his leg and hearing problems.

"The vet said to let him settle in first, but he will need treatment in future. It's a small price to pay, we are just glad to have him back," she told the news provider.
