Bono has taken to strapping on his pooch's dog collar and lead and taking his pet mutt for a walk in a bid to keep busy.
The U2 frontman, who is well known for his humanitarian work, explained that he was in Dublin for about a week, reports the Sun.
Speaking at the GQ Awards, Bono - whose real name is Paul David Hewson - revealed that he found himself being dragged around the city by his pet pooch.
The news provider quotes him as saying: "I rang some pals and asked what they thought I should do to keep busy. One said, 'Just walk the dog'. So I took the dog out with my wife. It's a mongrel and a really strong animal.
"It dragged us through the streets and some little kid shouted, 'Is that dog walking you, or are you walking the dog, Bono?'"
The singer revealed that this child's response made him realise he was home.
