County Down couple open dog-friendly cafe

Owners in County Down can now take their four-legged friend to a newly opened cafe for some dog food.

Janet Stafford and her husband have opened Paws 4 Tea, a cafe where dogs and their owners are welcome customers, reports the BBC.

Ms Stafford explained how she thinks other businesses are losing out by not letting dogs in and revealed that she had not had any problems with the canine customers.

She told the news provider: "I think it's a disgrace. What harm are they going to do. You see them here, they are all kept on leads.

"They are very well behaved when they do come in, there's never any bother. They have never done anything. Normally, they have had a walk before they come here."

Earlier this year, a couple from Manningtree in Essex who own the Crown Pub launched a menu specifically for dogs, the Harwich and Manningtree Standard reported.
