From humble beginnings in a garden shed to one of the UK’s largest and most trusted online pet retailers, VioVet has come a long way in the last decade. When it was first founded in 2006 by Luke Cousins, the then 16-year-old of a successful St. Albans-based vet and vet nurse, little did anyone know what VioVet would go on to achieve.
It began initially as an experiment to help the family’s veterinary practice sell medication and feeds online following a change to the laws governing the sale of prescription medications, and has grown tremendously in the intervening years, outgrowing two warehouses before finally settling in Luton in 2013.
The move to Luton meant VioVet could handle an increasing number of orders and serve a much larger customer base, while keeping its emphasis on providing excellent customer service and unbeatable value.
In April 2015, VioVet was acquired by Pethealth Inc, a Fairfax company based in Ontario, Canada. We now employ over 80 staff members and distribute to thousands of pet owners each month, including a number of international customers. In fact, we now have well over half a million account holders!
VioVet stocks many of the leading market brands, as well as its own-branded products and supplements.
