Provides a powerful and natural antioxidant
Milk Thistle, rich in the antioxidant Silymarin, has been very well documented for its benefits to liver health, including a protective role against potential damage caused by free radicals.

Includes compounds that can aid in reducing the oxidative stress of liver cells, helping to ease their workload, as well as providing ingredients that can play a role in avoiding excessive build-up of cholesterol & fats in the liver.
Supports the body during liver stress
Since pets with liver problems can often be deficient in vitamin B, we have also included a complex of B vitamins to assist with not only the normal functioning of the liver, but to provide support to the rest of the body.
Shake bottle well before use. For animals less than 10kg in body weight, use the enclosed measured dropper to give 2ml twice a day with meals. For each additional 10kg of body weight give an extra 1ml twice daily, or as recommended by your vet.

Very pleased. After nearly losing my senior dog ( now 13) 3 years ago I decided to try this as she wouldn’t take the tablets advised by vet. I just squirt it on her food and her recent senior health check gave her a great health review so very pleased that it’s helping and will continue.

My cat loves licky lix and tuna as most do. That's how I get meds down them wether liquid or crushed tablets. Always a winner.
This stuff I did the same. Tried it in both. The cat sniffed the food and wouldn't entertain it even though this stuffs meant to be flavoured and smells like smoky bacon.
It turns the food a strange colour like a yellowing but that's not an issue.
The issue is my cat won't touch anything with it on.
It might be good but it seems to taste rubbish for cats. Even let my other 2 cats sniff the syringe and they pull away like they have just smelt something awful.

Tried this liquid liver supplement for my dog as it's easier to add to her food. Lola has is a fussy eater so to get her to eat her dog food I have to add pieces of ham/beef or chicken to get her to eat it. Now I add this to her food she eats the lot! As other reviews have said it does have a strong bacon smell but I think that's why Lola enjoys her food now. It is also a bright yellow colour so I mix her food and supplement in a separate dish then put it in her dog bowl. Hope this helps if you're looking for an alternative to the liver capsules as my dog is a small breed (Chipoo) and capsules were to big for her to take.

Is the powder more effective for the addition of DL-Methionine?
The inclusion of DL-Methionine in the powder form of HepatiNorm™ but not in the liquid version likely comes down to formulation differences and how the ingredients are stabilized and delivered in each form.
It’s always a good idea to discuss with your vet which form might be the most suitable for your pet’s condition and treatment plan.

My cat is has been prescribed a hepatic diet - is it OK to use this product in combination with veterinary hepatic food?
Yes HepatiNorm is safe to use with a veterinary hepatic diet. It is advised to discuss this with your vet though just to ensure it does not interfere with their treatment plan.

Hi there! I noticed in the ingredients breakdown you have some crude proteins listed. Is this product suitable for dogs with liver shunts? (As an alternative to medicine)
This product will help support the liver and it's regeneration, so it should be beneficial for a dog with a liver shunt. It should not be used as an alternative to any medications your vet has prescribed though and you should run it's use past them to be sure it is suitable alongside their treatment plan. A liver with a shunt is often smaller and less productive compared to a normal liver, therefore any diet changes including the addition of a supplement can cause signs of Hepatic Encepalopathy (essentially where the liver struggles to process the additional nutrients provided by these changes). Consultation with your vet in this case before use is therefore advised.

Is HepatiNorm acceptable as a substitute for Vetpro advanced liver support for my dog as prescribed by my Vet?
HepatiNorm is not a direct substitute as it does not contain SAM-e which the Vetpro version does. However it is a good alternative if you are struggling to afford or administer the Vetpro version. It is advised to contact your vet if you are intending on switching though as this may not be advised.

I have a 6 month old 1.7kg rabbit that has high ALT and wondered if this is safe for use in rabbits?
This product is formulated for dogs/cats, any use in rabbits is off label which means unfortunately we cannot guarantee it is safe for use. It is advised to follow your vets' recommendations on appropriate supplements for your rabbit.

My cat is on Vetpro advanced liver support capsules where she has x1 a day. She has been on the for 6 weeks and all her levels went down slightly. She is now back on them for 12 weeks before repeat blood work is done. She absolutely hates them. She will point blank refuse any method I do to get her to take the capsule or even eat the powder in foods. She desperately needs a liquid form she can take that is alot less of a stress for her. I've been looking on your website and come across Hepatinorm. Would this work for her??
Our own brand HepatiNorm is a great alternative if you are struggling to give tablets/capsules to your cat. It does not contain exactly the same ingredients as the VetPro version so I advise running it's use past your vet first. However it is intended to support the liver and is far better than not giving any liver supplement at all.

My cat prescribed Denamarin but I cannot get the tablets down her and she refuses food if I crush it. Would this be a good substitute and support her liver?
Yes this product also supports the liver. It contains Milk Thistle, just a Denamarin does. It does not contain SAMe though, instead it contains it's precursor DL-Methionine. This helps with the body's normal production of SAMe. If you cannot use the Denamarin that your vet has advised because of the tablet form then HepatiNorm is a great alternative that is far better than not giving Denamarin at all.

My 15 year old terrier has raised liver values and point blank refuses to take Vet Pro advanced liver support capsules, or even the contents mixed in with food treats. What is the dosage of Hepatinorm for a 9.5kg dog?
The doseage for a 9.5kg dog is 2mls twice daily (4ml total per day). Our own brand HepatiNorm is very similar to VetPro Liver Support however it does not contain SAMe which VetPro Liver Support does, it is best running this change past your vet to be certain it is appropriate. HepatiNorm is a very good alternative though if your dog cannot take powdered liver support supplements.

My cat is currently going up and down with frequent visit to vets to boost her fluids and is on steroids as she was autoimmune anemic -cause not known - then dipped back down and off food and water. - thickened stomach lining was found. (Bloods still good atm) Is this product safe to use to support her ? Thanks
This product is intended to support the liver, containing ingredients to help normal liver repair. I recommend discussing it's use with your vet as only they will know if liver damage is present and ongoing, and so if it is necessary to use.

Would this be ok for my cat who will not take samylin tablets or powder prescribed by my vet.
We are looking for a more palatable alternative for her that does the same job.
HepatiNorm is not an exact alternative to Samylin as it does not conain SAMe. However if your cat is refusing to eat supplements containing SAMe then it is a good alternative as it contains other similar beneficial ingredients for the liver.
