Directions For Use

To administer the correct amount of the product use the handy wheel on the syringe plunger. Rotate the wheel until it is to the right of the number representing the desired quantity to be administered (see diagram below showing the correct and incorrect position for 10ml).

For my Labrador, 15mls is 3 doses. Unbelievably expensive! Ive previously bought 60mls and it was nothing like this price. However, I couldn't find anywhere less expensive.

We would best recommend using the formula for cats.

The pro-kolin advanced 60ml only scales from 25kgs, what size dose for a 15kg spaniel.
Your 15kg dog will need a 15ml or 30ml syringe as the dose is 3ml twice daily (or 5ml if over 15kg). A 15ml should be enough if dosing at 3ml twice daily, this will last 2+1/2 days.

My cat has been diagnosed with a sensitive tummy and has become allergic to regular cat food and biscuits so the vet advised me to totally change her diet which I've done and to give her cobalaplex to help her regain the weight she's lost and to help firm up her stools. This has been ongoing for about 5 months. I was wondering if Pro kolin would help her and if we can use it instead of the cobalaplex, alongside it or not at all? Ideally I would like to help her regain the weight she'd lost and firm up her stools and generally make her feel better. It is recommended to discuss this with the vet who advised to give Cobapalaplex. Pro Kolin and Cobalaplex do have different ingredients and there may be a specific reason your vet has advised one over the other.

The syringe itself comes with volume measurements on it. You will need to move the wheel up these measurements to choose the correct dose, as in the image below. The packaging will contain further guidance on how this is done:

Hello. I am using this once daily (not twice because one of my cats requires my friend to visit to help..) at 2ml. How long should I do this for, for maximim effect? I've been giving them 2ml daily for five days. The little one hasn't vomited since day one (she has bouts of vomiting: sensitive tum) and the boy's soft poo is firming up. I've also changed their food to Royal Canin Gastro-Intestinal. I'll appreciate your advice. Both products bought at good prices from Viovet, and quick delivery. Thanks. Clare
Protexin can be used daily indefinitely if required. It should not be needed for more than 5 to 7 days for the average episode of intestinal upset though, if the signs persist then I advise seeing your vet to check this is the correct treatment.
