Used Hills senior product for years but Lila seemed to loose interest so tried this NEW version which is a smaller crocket and she loves it! Probably had trouble chewing the bigger ones.

I am giving my dog who is 11 with science plan for sensitive stomach but I want to know if I should give her senior vitality or can I mix the both
It is advised to only stick to one diet if the diets have special intended effects. This is because the diet will not have the intended effect unles it is fed as the main diet. If you are feeding a sensitive stomach diet as your pet has allergies or food intolerances then the senior vitality diet may upset this.
It is recommended to fully transition to the senior vitality food if your intention is to support your dog nutritionally in their senior years. If you would like tailored diet advice on whether this will set off a food intolerance/allergy then please get in touch by emailing [email protected] with what your pet is allergic to.

My dog Polay has been on 'Hills Metabolic and Weight Management' dry food for a number of years now. She is coming up to 8 now and my vet has advised moving her over slowly to a senior dry food. Her weight has come down to 26.7 kgs. We would like her to get down to 25kgs ideally but shes done well. Pol was recently diagnosed with arthritis and is given an injection of Librela every month for this. She also takes YuMove Advance 360 orally. Please can you advise re the senior dog food options that would be best for her.
I am looking at 'The Hills Senior Vitality' chicken and rice or the' Light Mature Adult' but uncertain how to proceed as her weight is on the cusp of medium/ large breed. Thank you. Ruth Lees

Either of the foods you mention would be suitable. The Senior Vitality version is more specifically a 'Senior diet' with the added benefits these usually contain, so this may be more suitable as your vet is advising a senior diet.
I recommend feeding for a 25kg weight if this is your dog's target weight. You should reweigh every 2 to 4 weeks if you can as weight fluctuations can occur after a change in diet.
The difference between the medium or large breed diets are mainly based on kibble size. I recommend going with the medium breed if your dog is similar size to a spaniel, and large breed if more of a retriever size.
