Great stuff for getting rid of mites. Have used it with my dog who was troubled with mites, but soon cleared them . Haven't noticed any side effects.

This product helped ease the irritation but only a little, it is a 'symptom control' measure, but most certainly not a cure, my dog required Vet. prescribed medication for her condition, but this eased her itching.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Denes Mite Cream for Dogs & Cats, including answers from our team.

I have 2 cats. One is 14 and the other is 4
Both are acratching and licking alot especially the eldest. Our eldest cat has one patch of missing fur on one side and the rest on that side Is thin compared to the other side.
He keeps constantly licking all of er. Will this cream help him
There are a few different causes of scratching or hair loss. It sounds more like an allergic skin reaction and self trauma. The most likely cause of this would be flea allergic dermatitis. Even if you can't see any fleas I would start with flea treatment for your cats and the house- carpets, furniture, bedding etc since fleas can reside in the environment and then jump back onto the cats. You could try the mite cream, it won't do any harm, but I am not sure you will see any results and certainly flea treatment would be better first off.

They have both had steroid injections, antibiotics but in one cat it is now coming back and the other seems to have started to prove but now at a standstill. I have heard that eden lilley do a pill for flea and mites which can stop this. Is this suitable for my cats as i hate to see them get like it.
This cream is very unlikely to help your cats judging from the treatments your vet has prescribed so far. It is most likely that your cats are suffering from allergic skin disease with secondary self-trauma and skin infection. The best treatment might well be partly through diligent flea control (even despite not seeing fleas. Allergies to them can be a problem with just an occasional flea bite.) Another common cause would be a dietary allergy, so changing the food to something based on completely different base ingredients for 2 months might also be beneficial. You should talk to your vet about this option too as it is not perhaps what you might expect. We sell lots of suitable diets if you go down that route.

I have 12 year old Lhaso Apso and recently I have noticed a patch of hair loss and thinning on his left side he does favour sitting on that side, and he doesn't itch or scratch and he has no fleas, have you any advice on what to try using? His hair is quite thick on the rest of his body thanks in advance
Hair loss is a common problem in dogs, but can be caused by different things. If it is not at all itchy or sore, then usually it is symmetrical, so you should check the corresponding area on his right hand side carefully. If it is genuinely as you describe, then possibly it is just being rubbed away through the way he habitually sits. In any case I doubt if mite cream will make a lot of difference and I should get him checked by your vet. (Technically hair is either falling out/not growing, or being removed after it has grown normally. The difference is most easily checked by looking at the skin very carefully through a small magnifying lens. If hair is being removed by rubbing/licking/nibbling etc then there will be fine stubble to see at skin level. If the hair is dropping out, the skin surface is smooth even under magnification. This is usually a completely different cause, possibly hormonal, but is usually the same on both sides.)
