Worked very well. I use spot on products but as a working dog he still picks up the odd visitor and these tablets really helped me get on top of the problem.

A stray cat from the neighbouring small holding has taken up residence in our barn.
We started feeding it, with permission, and was able to de flea him with 4Fleas Tablets. He is now a big clean cat and we are able to get to stroke him sometimes. I will use the tablets every month to keep him healthy.

One of my cats is nursing and the other might be pregnant but is it safe to give them the tablet
Hi Michelle
Thanks for getting in touch.
Yes Johnsons 4Fleas for cats can be safely used in a pregnant or lactating cat.
I hope this helps.

I have a 12 year old beagle .what size is it classed as.as tablets 4 fleas are for lrg or small.
Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch.
If your beagle is between 1-11kg then you would need small, anything over 11kg needs large.
Hope that helps.

It seems strange to me that the dosage for puppies and/or dogs under 11 kgs is exactly the same as for larger dogs. I'd have thought more body weight would require a higher dosage. If the dosage is the same for all of them, why is there a need to mention weight on the pack at all?
The tablets for large dogs contain 57mg of Nitenpyram and the tablets for small dogs and puppies contain 11.4mg of Nitenpyram so the larger dogs are receiving a higher concentration of active ingredient per tablet.

Can 4flea tablets be used for kittens who are 8 weeks and weighing 850 & 900 grams? I was going to use half a tablet but need to know if that's safe. The kittens are in good health, thanks
Giving half a tablet is likely to be fine although may not be enough to be effective where 1 tablet would be too much. I would advise using Fiproclear Spray since this can be used on any size of kitten from 2 days old.

Can I put a standard 'spot on' on my pets after using this product to protect them for a longer period of time? I like how quickly these tablets kill the fleas but I would like to ensure that they do not get any more whilst I'm treating the home. Thanks
Yes you can do this and it makes perfect sense. Combining the tablets, spot-on and household spray is a very good idea. The only thing I would say is that even all of this may not get rid of all fleas immediately. Some eggs and larvae etc can be left all over the place and all of the products have a very high kill-rate for fleas, but they are not nuclear bombs. In order to keep them safe for cats and people, they cannot be as potent as we might like. They will do their job pretty soon though.

Can I use flea tablets and frontline spot on together
These products can indeed be used together. The tablets should give a complete initial kill and the Frontline will help to provide more lasting protection. Ideally you should spray the house with a suitable insecticide too if fleas are a real problem. It is surprising how long it can take to get rid of all the fleas in a location if they have built up a large population.

What do the tablets contain? And are they palatable?
The tablets contain the insecticide nitenpyram and they are reasonably palatable to most dogs and cats if mixed with food. They are not tasty enough to be given as treats. Individuals vary of course in how well they accept them. A tablet is extremely effective for 1-2 days, but it wears off rapidly after that.

My dog weighs 35 kg how many tablets should I give him?
The dose for any dog over 11kg bodyweight is just one of the standard tablets.

Can 4fleas b used on pregnant cat?
Also what worker can also be used?
There is a general presumption against giving any medication during the first third of pregnancy. Ideally you should try to observe this. Having said that, this product is regarded as safe to use during pregnancy and you should be safe to do so.

Can I give these tablets to my cats on a regular basis to keep them flea free ? if so can you tell me how often and how many
The tablets can be given regularly, at a maximum of 1 tablet per day. It
is also advisable to use a household treatment at the same time as
although these tablets will kill the fleas on your cat, there still may
be fleas in carpets, bedding or furnishings that the fleas may be, which
may then get back onto your cat at a later point. Virbac Indorex Household Spray is a popular choice.
