I bought this collar as my cat has a flea allergy and will scratch all his fur out. Unfortunately after wearing for 48 hours he became unwell with vomiting and diarrhoea. I thought it may be a coincidence but removed it just in case and tried again a week later. The same thing happened! An expensive mistake

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. After a week of wearing this, my 2 year old girl developed a terrible sore on her neck as well as diarrhoea, that cleared when I removed the collar. If you take a look online, there's an investigation into the level of safety of this product, I strongly believe it is not safe and should not be sold to customers.

After my cat started to have convulsions with some medications I stopped using the spot-on treatment I had been using. I tried another spot-on product and instead of dealing with the fleas my poor cat ended up with a infestation and was quite agitated and miserable. She had never worn a collar before but I decided to try this as an alternative and although for the price it was an expensive experiment based on other peoples reviews I decided to give it a go ...... and am so pleased I did within days we'd resolved the flea problem and my cat is back to her usually contended self and also thankfully no convulsion occurred either.

After buying a cheap chinese copy that didn't work I was happy to pay the extra and buy a flea collar that worked and worked well

I always get a Seresto flea and tick control collar for my cat. They work well and it's good for him (and us) to be flea-free for around eight months.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Seresto Flea and Tick Control Collar for Cats, including answers from our team.
Kiara Raeburn
Can this collar be used on a 7 month old kitten
Yes, Seresto is safe for use in kittens 10 weeks or older. You may need to adjust the collar as your kitten grows.

My dog has the seresto collar, and has recently been wormed with Cestem, could there be any problem with this combination, as she's gone off her food
Seresto contains Imidacloprid and Flumethrin whilst Cesteem contains Pyrantel/Febantel/Praziquantel. These are completely different active ingredients and are safe to use together.
It is likely the signs you ar seeing are not related to Cesteem or Seresto as adverse reactions are rare, but if you are concerned that either of the medications have caused what you are seeing then please contact us on [email protected] so we can investigate this further for you.
Amanda Ridley
Can they cause constipation
Constipation is not a listed side effect for Seresto so this is unlikely related. In fact a rare side effect is diarrhoea, the opposite of constipation.
