There's no excuse for not cleaning up after your dog

Dog owners have a prerogative to clean up after their pets, and have an ample selection of sanitary products at their disposal in order to do so, one behaviour specialist has warned.

Debbie Connolly, founder of SafePets UK (www.safepets.co.uk) and animal behaviourist, explains that "owners who don't pick up after their dogs give all owners a bad name and annoy everyone".

She added there are always some that leave their dog's mess on the street no matter how many signs and bins there are, meaning fines are necessary in some cases.

As for solutions, many are available for conscientious owners. Poop scoops, poop bags, torches with bag attachments and other various sanitary tools are all readily available for those looking to maintain their own reputation and that of all dog owners.
