With Valentine's Day fast approaching, it could be a good idea to buy some tasty pet food online for your beloved animal.

According to stltoday.com, pet owners shower their pets with as affection on Valentine's Day as they do their human companions.

The news provider states: "Recent studies show evidence that pets can help us reduce our blood pressure, stress levels and depression. Not to mention an extra walk is good for our waistlines.

Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14th and celebrates love and affection between intimate companions.

It was first established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD but was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969.
