Pet Idol competition launched in Scotland

Monday, 11th July 2011

A pet in Scotland may well end up with some luxury dog food or cat food if they are crowned Pet Idol.

The Queensferry Gazette has teamed up with Dobbies Garden World Livingston to find a family pet that stands out from the crowd.

Owners are being invited to submit a photograph of their family pet to be in with the chance of winning £100 worth of vouchers that can be spent at the garden centre.

Elliot Johnston, manager of Dobbies Garden World Livingston, told the news provider: "We are delighted with the response we have had since opening our store earlier this year.

"Our Pets [pets] and aquatics department is home to a variety of tropical, marine and coldwater fish, tanks and accessories as well as expert staff to give advice."

The last day people have to enter their four-legged friend is July 26th. The finalists will be picked by a panel of judges on August 5th, after which readers will be invited to vote for their favourite pet.
