Viewers invited to meet stars of new ITV show

Thursday, 6th September 2012

Anyone who enjoyed Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs is invited to come and meet the stars of the new ITV series at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

Millions of people tuned in to the show, which first aired on Monday (September 4th), seeing the stories behind some of the charity’s residents.

The Animal Reunion and Fun Day will take place this Sunday (September 9th) and attendees can come and meet some of the stars of the show, such as Sparkle, who will be making a special appearance.

Sparkle was severely emaciated when she came into the home. She captured the nation's heart after being abandoned next to a suitcase in a park in London.

Now she has been rehomed, viewers can come and see just how well she has recovered from her ordeal and how happy she is in her new home.

Battersea’s Fundraising Director Liz Tait said: "Battersea dogs are more popular than ever, and the Annual Reunion and Fun Day will bring hundreds of them together in one place to celebrate their happy endings.

"We're so pleased that dogs like Sparkle are able to join us for what will be a really special day in Battersea Park."
