Three-legged abandoned puppy finds loving new home

After an awful start in life, a tiny puppy who had been injured and abandoned has found a loving new home with a new family.

Dolly was found on the roadside and had been caught in a snare trap, meaning one of her legs had to be amputated.

However, after recovering well, her enthusiastic, affectionate and happy personality came out and she managed to find a new home with Sue Spafford, who spotted Dolly on the Blue Cross website.

Ms Spafford had been looking for an older dog, but when she saw Dolly's profile, she instantly fell in love and was in luck to find her perfect pet was still available.

She said: "She rules the roost now and the house never feels empty. We've started going to puppy classes and she's the smallest one there. Everyone absolutely loves her.

"The fact that she only had three legs didn't put me off at all - in fact it endeared her to me even more."
