The winner of this year’s National Cat of the Year award has been announced as part of the Cats Protection’s National Cat Awards.
Jessi-Cat helped seven-year-old Lorcan Dillon, who suffers from a form of mutism, to say 'I love you'.
The much-loved pet first won the Best Friends award and was then revealed the be the overall winner.
This year's awards were judged by a host of celebrities, including musician and Grumpy Old Men star Rick Wakeman.
He said: "The bond between Jessi-Cat and Lorcan is incredible and it has clearly had a hugely positive impact on Lorcan's home and school life. Jessi-Cat helps Lorcan to communicate and express emotions that ordinarily Lorcan wouldn’t be able to do."
Lorcan’s mother, Jayne Dillon, added that Jessi-Cat has been a great support for her son and is able to express emotions through her.
Ms Dillon said: "She is without a doubt the best friend a boy could have."
The star-studded awards ceremony was held in London on Thursday (August 16th).
