Hanworth man searching for kitty with cat food

Tuesday, 5th April 2011

A man from Hanworth has been trying to coax his lost kitty back with cat food.

Andy Cassar's cat, Binks, went missing on March 28th, just four days after the birth of his daughter Naiya, feltham.hounslowchronicle.co.uk reports.

So far, his efforts have involved him advertising in the local paper and the Heathrow Skyport paper, putting up posters and phoning around vet surgeries.

He has even gone so far as to ask the council if the road sweepers have found him.

Mr Cassar told the news provider: "It's been such an awful time, obviously my daughter has just been born so I should be focusing on her entirely, but I have been out every night with a packet of Binks' favourite cat food trying to find him."

He added that Binks has been micro-chipped and revealed that he believes his cat has been stolen.

The distraught owner may take some comfort in a recent case where a family had their cat returned to them after being lost for over a year.

Fudge went missing in the Queen Elizabeth Country Park in December 2009 but was recently returned to his family after being found by staff at the park.
