Gainsborough sees luxury cattery open its doors

A new cattery in Gainsborough offers its patrons a particularly luxurious experience, with aquariums, flat screen TVs showing cartoons and a special 'a la cat' cat food menu.

Liz and Ian Burman, along with their three daughters, officially opened the Lea Wood Cattery last week after a £55,000 makeover, reports thisislincolnshire.co.uk.

Ms Burman explained that she was a 'dog person' until she got her first cat 20 years ago.

"Now we care for other people's pets and the suites for discerning felines have come about because I've been thinking of how I'd like my cats to be cared for if I left them at a cattery," she told the news provider.

"They really love the TV and the aquarium - although a lot of people might think I'm crackers."

She added that she has had people from as far as London enquire about their cat accommodation, so it shows people want to put their pets in special environments.

Penthouse rates at the Lea Wood Cattery start from £8.50 per hour.
