It’s been another eventful (and successful!) month for sponsored rider, Laura Renwick, who has recently competed at Dinard 5*, Valkenswaard GCT 5* and Millstreet 3* where she came out on top with a number of wins and personal triumphs.

For the second consecutive year, Laura and Rembrandt Blue won the Prix Tropicana Jumping Derby at Jumping International Dinard 5* - a prestigious class combining both solid and show jumping obstacles, and demanding speed, precision and endurance from its competitors.

Beside this historic triumph, Bintang was also on good form, winning the 1.55m Ranking class and jumping double clear to finish 7th in the Grand Prix. This was matched by MHS Washington coming 2nd in the opening 1.45m two phase and 4th in another 1.50m world ranking Speed.

The next event on the calendar was Valkenswaard Global Champions Tour 5* in the Netherlands, which saw Heliodor Hybris win a 1.50m Speed and jump amazing first round clear in the Grand Prix. Utrillo de Breve – Renwick’s 8-year-old stallion – jumped the 2* classes, placing 4th and 5th in the two 1.45m Grand Prix qualifiers. This was followed by an unlucky 4th in his first Grand Prix.

Renwick’s super 6-year-old, Alothain de Blondel, was clear every day in the Young Horse classes, placing 5th, 5th and 3rd in the final.

At Millstreet 3*, Ireland, Heliodor Hybris powered across the finish line to win the Grand Prix title, while MHS Washington was 5th after winning a 1.50m World Ranking class with Utrillo de Breve coming 4th in the same class. MHS San Francisco – a 5-year-old sister to Washington – won the first 5-year-old qualifier and was 2nd in the Millstreet Ruby final. With it being her first stay away show, Renwick was thrilled with this achievement.

All in all, another hugely successful month for British show jumping’s leading lady! September here she comes…
