From Monaco and Paris, to Estoril and the Great Yorkshire Show, Laura has had a busy few weeks competing. She’s also achieved great things along the way, including winning the Cock O’ The North Grand Prix in a thrilling six-horse decider at the Great Yorkshire Show.

At the end of June, Laura came 13th riding Bintang at the Monte Carlo Global Champions Tour, and finished 5th on Heliodor Hybris jumping GCL team. This was followed at the start of July with wins at Paris, where Bintang finished 3rd in the 1.55m Eiffel Sunday Challenge, Heliodor Hybris was equal 1st in 6 bar, clearing 2m05, and MHS Washington jumped GCL team for 4th place.

This all came after a disappointing round in the Grand Prix when the heavens opened, which made visibility poor for competing. “It rained so hard that I was soaked through the skin and could barely see the fences in front of us,” said Laura. However, this didn’t put her off her stride and she went on to have a successful event.

At the Kent County Show Grand Prix Heliodor Hybris came in 3rd, which was topped by a historic win at the Great Yorkshire Show when Heliodor Hybris won the Cock O’ The North title after jumping three superb rounds and clearing the final set of planks standing at 5’7”. On her Facebook page, Laura expressed how pleased she was at being amongst the ‘amazing names on the trophy’ and said what a ‘great atmosphere’ it had been.

Congratulations to Laura on all her recent achievements and here’s to another fruitful few months!
