Description

The Witness Parvo Test Kit is a simple, in-clinic, Rapid Immuno-Migration (RIM™) test which detects all strains of canine parvovirus shed in the feces. Positive results with the fecal RIM™ test indicate the presence of canine parvovirus.

Results are quickly shown in 10 minutes or less. Clean and hygienic with no slapping or splashing, and no need to warm up, suitable for use at room temperature.

Kit contents

  • 5 pouches, each containing 1 test device and desiccant
  • 5 disposible sample extraction pipettes
  • 1 extraction buffer bottle
  • Instructions for use

Sample collection

  • Remove the top portion, containing the cotton swab,from a sample extraction pipette
  • Dispense Extraction Buffer into the base of the sample extraction pipette until the buffer reaches the graduation mark
  • Taking the top portion of the sample extraction pipette, coat the cotton swab with a thin layer of faeces from a stool sample, or an anal swab
  • Insert the swab into the dispensed extraction buffer in the base of the sample extraction pipette
  • Securely fit the top portion onto the base and tap to mix for 5 seconds to ensure good sample extraction

Sample dispensing

  • Tear open the pouch provided and place the test device on a flat horizontal surface during the migra-tion of the samples
  • Snap the top of the sample extraction pipette (at the blue line) containing the extracted faecal sample
  • Invert and hold the sample extraction pipette in a vertical (upright) position and squeeze the base gently to dispense five drops of sample to the sample well (Window (1)
  • If migration does not pass Window (2) by one minute,add one additional drop of sample in Window (1)

Reading tests

  • Wait 10 minutes, then observe the presence orabsence of purple bands in Windows (2) and (3)
  • Sample results are read in Window (2)
  • The control band is read in Window (3)

The test is complete and may be read before 10minutes if purple bands are visible in both Windows (2) and (3). The presence of a purple band only in Window (3) before 10 minutes does not mean that the test is complete. A purple band in Window (2) may develop slower than the control purple band in Window (3).

Results

  • Negative- A sample is negative for Canine Parvovirusantigen, if there is no purple band visible in Window(2) and a purple band in Window (3)
  • Positive- A sample is positive for Canine Parvovirusantigen if there is one purple band visible in Window(2) and one purple band in Window (3)

Note : A test is valid if a purple band is present in Window (3). If there is no purple band in Window (3),the test is invalid and should be repeated.

Remember : A test result should always be interpreted in the context of all available clinical information and history for the dog being tested.

How quickly do you deliver?

In more general terms, we aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day of receiving payment (and a prescription if required). Prices quoted are for delivery to all parts of mainland UK except certain Scottish postcodes (where the price is higher for items sent by courier. Delivery of food abroad (including Channel Islands, N. Ireland and other islands around the UK) is charged at a higher price and free delivery is not available. Temperature controlled products, such as Insulin, are also not always subject to the standard and/or free delivery options.

We can deliver most items to all around the world, but prices do vary. The majority of light weight orders (less than 1.5kg) can be delivered for a flat rate of £10. For an accurate estimate of the delivery charge, please put the items you require in your basket and use the "Estimate Delivery" system on the shopping basket page (you only need to enter your country and postal/zip code) for a quick quote. For deliveries to the USA you may need to go to the checkout page and enter your full address to get a quote (as some services need your state in order to quote too). Delivery of aerosols

Due to air freight restrictions aerosols cannot ever be sent abroad by Royal Mail. We appreciate your understanding.

Delivery of temperature controlled items

Some products, such as insulin and frozen food, need to be delivered in insulated packaging to prevent them from getting too warm (or too cold) during transit from us to you. Purchasing any of these items in your order will result in a £1.99 charge being added to the total to cover the high cost of the insulated packaging materials. You only pay the £1.99 once per order, regardless of how many temperature controlled items you purchase in that order.

How do I cancel or return an order?

Please call us as soon as possible if you need to amend or cancel an order on 01582 842096. If your order has been processed for dispatch we will be unable to cancel or amend the order. You will however be able to return your product for a full refund*.

To return an item, you must contact us by phone or email to arrange this BEFORE posting any product back to us. We will explain the process at this stage for you.
