I purchased this to contain a dustbath for my outside run. It is just the right size for my bantams and brown was ideal as they are used to brown nest boxes. Very pleased with it.

Have bought 4 now, chickens love them, can fit two chickens easily, plus little seramas that snuggle in as well. Easy to clean. Haven’t looked back after previously using wooden boxes. Highly recommend.

I bought 2 for for four very small hens but they haven't shown any desire to use them.Probably because the wooden ones are still around.also they need a ramp as the threshold is quite high.

The back panel does not come out however you can go for a Stubbs Saddle Mate which has a hole both sides. The Poultry Palace is based on the Saddle Mate.

Does this item help to encourage egg laying? Also, is it big enough for a heavy duck such as the Muscovy or Appleyard to fit in? Thank you.

I have spoken to the manufacturers who say they cannot guarantee that the Poultry Palace will help to encourage egg laying although there is a very positive review on our website from a customer who says their chickens haven't stopped laying since they bought it. The dimensions are w 44cm x d 39cm x h 44cm which I think would be too small for a heavy duck.
