This is a great boredom breaker/slow feeder - and it stops hay blowing around the field. The conical shape rolls in a circle so it does not go straight across a field and under a hedge or fence. It is a serious feeder and will take as much hay as a large haynet or hayrack. The filler is funnel shaped to make filling very easy. Dual purpose, it is also a pole block. Moulded from exceptionally tough STUBBYTHENE. Comes with tough, innovative lid for both horse and pony.

My horse was initially terrified of this and still can’t get used to how to use it properly, his field mate can use it perfectly fine. It doesn’t fit a huge amount of hay maybe 2kg but the horses don’t tend to be able to empty it so it does last all night and it stops the hay making a mess of the fields and encourages movement. All in all it’s quite good if your horse can figure out how to use it!

Good product. I was previously just putting piles of hay out in the field and this definitely stops my horse from eating his entire hay ration within the first hour of turnout.

Bought the pony version, but the holes are so big they could get their hooves through the holes. The lid is flimsy and they managed to get it off in no time, it also appears to be very brittle. This is not the usual Stubbs quality, wish I had bought another Stubbs hay play instead of the hay roller.
