Give your dog long-lasting protection against fleas and ticks with a Seresto flea and tick control collar for small dogs. Unlike other flea and tick protection, Seresto flea and tick collars are clinically proven to kill fleas and repel and kill ticks for 7-8 continuous months. It's the longest lasting protection available in a single application, so there's no need to remember monthly treatments. Seresto has repellent action meaning ticks do not have to bite to be killed. As a result of this, Seresto is clinically proven to reduce the risk of canine vector borne diseases babesiosis and ehrlichiosis.
Using an advanced polymer system, the collar's active ingredients are slowly released at low doses onto your dog's skin and coat to help keep them protected. There is no mess, no grease and no smell, plus it features a specially designed safety release mechanism to give you peace of mind.
How to Use Seresto Flea and Tick Control Collar for Dogs
Simply place Seresto on your dog for the longest-lasting flea and tick protection available in a single application, meaning your dog can play-on without the worry of fleas and ticks.

KEY BENEFITS:
INSTRUCTIONS
Cutaneous use. One collar per animal to be fastened around the neck.
Remove collar from protective bag directly before use. Unroll collar and make sure that there are no remnants from the plastic connectors inside the collar. Adjust the collar around the animal's neck without tightening it too tight (as a guide, it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the neck). Pull excess collar through the loop and cut off any excess length extending beyond 2 cm.
The collar should be worn continuously for the 7–8-month protection period and should be removed after the treatment period. Check periodically and adjust fit, if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing.

I used to use other type of flea and tick prevention medicine and I work for quite a few years. The it just stopped protecting my dog and we had awful flea infestation. Friend of mine recommended this collar and it worked. We didn’t even had to treat the house.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Seresto Flea & Tick Control Collar for Dogs under 8kg, including answers from our team.
Bev Delaney
I have. 5kg golden retriever puppy 11 weeks - should i buy the small dog collar for her?
You should buy the collar that is appropriate for your dog's weight. So yes, the less than 8kg collar for your 4kg puppy.
Esther Marker
My dog is exactly 8 kilos. Which collar should I get?
Thanks!
If your dog is exactly 8kg then you should use the smaller collar size, as this is for dogs under or equal to 8kg.
If your dog is not yet fully grown then it is advised to order the larger collar as they will grow beyond the 8kg weight. The collars themselves only administer exactly what your dog needs so you do not need to worry about overdosing.

Is this safe to use on a 9 week small puppy?
Yes, Seresto collars are safe for use in puppies over 7 weeks of age. The collar will only administer as much as your pet safely needs.

I'm wondering what the difference is between the small and large dog collar. Is it the length of collar or the amount of ingredients?
The difference is in the amount of active ingredients that are found within, not the physical collar size. For dogs >8kg you will need the larger collar in order to ensure protection throughout the whole 7 to 8 month period.

I read online you can't use these if you are giving your dog other treatments? We wouldn't be carrying on with the flea treatments but he does still need his worming tablets. Does this affect it?
Seresto can be safely used with other medications, including most wormers. You should avoid using products with similar ingredients however, Seresto contains imidacloprid (10%) and flumethrin (4.5%).

My dog has just been covered, the ticks etc are really bad here, is it still ok to use even though she may be pregnant
The safety of Seresto has not been established in target animals during pregnancy and lactation and in the absence of available data, the product is therefore not recommended in pregnant and lactating bitches.
