RespirAid DHA

  • The ultimate support for long term respiratory health
  • Rich in DHA & EPA alongside powerful anti-oxidants
  • Aids the management of respiratory problems such as cough, nasal discharge and breathing problems
  • Results in as little as 14 days
  • 1.85kg tub gives approximately 1 month supply

Research shows that supplementing the horses diet with anti-oxidants aids the respiratory system and provides valuable support. In addition, new research has now shown that a marine source of DHA is highly beneficial to long term respiratory health.

In a recent study of 37 horses with compromised respiratory function, feeding RespirAid showed positive benefits in just 7-14 days. RespirAid DHA also includes Vitamin C as Ascorbyl Monophosphate. This is the form of Vitamin C that is highly absorbed in horses, unlike Ascorbic Acid whi is commonly used in supplements but very poorlly absorbed by horses.

RespirAid DHA combines both these groups of ingredients to provide the ultimate support for horses with sensitive airways.

Science Supplements RespirAid contains a unique balance of antioxidants which has been shown to support cell membrane integrity and help reduce inflammation of the respiratory system. Horses can develop a range of respiratory conditions which are often caused by environmental factors, and inflamed airways and mucous build ups reduce the horse's pulmonary function leading to impaired performance and health.

RespirAid can be fed on a daily basis to support respiratory system health and is ideal for horses which are stabled for large amounts of time, or those exposed to stressful situations.

45 Horse living out, coughing all summer
Verified Purchase

By on 20 September 2023

My horse has a respiratory problem, probably allergic to pollen or fungal spores. He coughs after every feed. I thought I would try this Respiraid supplement, and he has improved. He wouldn’t eat his feed with the full dose, so I have been giving him just one scoop which he does now eat without fuss. I shall continue to use it until the pack is finished, and then will watch and see if the cough returns.

55 Respiraid

My horse was diagnosed with IAD last August, spent the winter out 24/7 and nebulised daily with Ventapulmin and Colvasone. Had to go away for a week and had no one to use the inhaler so took a risk and started him on Respiraid, it really seems to have worked; no cough or discharge and fine in walking out. Fingers crossed

Despite my attempts to keep the stable as dust free as possible my horse still coughs when stabled overnight in the winter. Since using this product this has stopped, would thoroughly recommend trying it.

45 Works!
Verified Purchase

By on 23 June 2020

I bought this product after my horse kept coughing in the arena during warm up. The vet scoped him but a sample taken from him produced no bacterial infection. We ended up wondering if his cough was a reaction to pollen though. I bought this as a last resort and I have to say, it has made a difference. The cough has almost disappeared. I’m keeping him on it just now as, for me, it has improved his wellbeing. Good value for money too.
