Royal Canin Maine Coon is a complete food for adult Maine Coon cats. Maine Coon's are a cross between American wild and domestic cats. Royal Canin Maine Coon has been specifically formulated to suit the needs of Maine Coon cats to provide them with a balanced nutritional diet. They have powerful and large jaws which means they often ingest food too quickly. The food's Emerald 10 kibble has been specially adapted to suit this large jaw and helps to slow the intake of food due to the extra required chewing. L-Carnitine, EPA & DHA, taurine and an adapted mineral content will help to support your cat's heart. The food has also been developed to support joints and bones as the cat has a larger and more powerful skeleton which can create more pressure on joints. Added fatty, linoleic and amino acids, zinc, biotin and vitamins will all help your cat to have a shiny coat and healthy skin.

Trouble swallowing

I have female cat that is related to Maine Coon breed her grandfather was pure Maine Coon, her grandmother was part Maine Coon.
My cat Minniemou is 4 years old and does have some problems in gulping her food down if I don't watch she does end up being sick, I have however tried her with wet foods and dryed foods, but it seems worse with wet foods my problem is she likes food in jelly and has started recently started to just like all the jelly leaving the meat behind, I have tried encouraging her to eat dry food but she won't eat them properly it's more like a quick snack only eating 3 or 4 biscuits and then refuses any more, I have tried leaving some down, I have tried just putting them out at meal times as I have 2 cats they get fed morning and evening my other cat is greedy and will eat whatever is put in front of him but he is only 8 months old so I have no problems with him, apart from having to feed him on the floor and her upon the side to stop him eating her food as well as his own food, right now I will accept any advice you can give me.
Kindest Regards

Hello.

Thank you for your question.

It does sound out of the ordinary and not like normal cat behavior; I would suggest you seek veterinary advice just in case there is an underlying issue with her swallowing harder foods.
