Please be aware, the RSPCA recommend the minimum size a permanent cage for a Syrian hamster should be is 75cm x 40cm x 40cm. Smaller cages are only suitable for temporary homes.

This cage is very well designed.
I used it for my lone gerbil in her old age and it was perfect for burrowing.
I didnt use the water bottle required (only due to be having another one) or the ramps as at the end of her life she didn't use them and I also don't really like plastic for gerbils.
I would give this cage a 7/10!
I would also buy again and reccomend it to a friend as it provided a lot of space for my gerbil to burrow deeply.

How many Gerbils can this gerbilarium house?

Thank you for you for your question.
I would say that this gerbilarium is only suitable as temporary accommodation for one gerbil.
If you go the the RSPCA website they show you the minimum recommended cage size for gerbils.
