This helps Pixie if I can get her to eat it, cannot give it to her by mouth which doesn't help if she is not eating

Our dog has a sensitive tum, it doesn't take much to upset it. We always have Pro-Kolin at home, just in case. Wouldn't be without it now. Thanks Viovet for having it in stock, selling at a great price and delivering it quickly. Much appreciated.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Protexin Pro-Kolin, including answers from our team.
Andrea
Is this suitable for a dog with pancreatitis
As noticed after I’ve bought it the fat content is high
Yes, Protexin Pro - Kolin is safe for dogs with pancreatitis, but it is important to consult your vet before using it.
Lisa
I have been recommended Pro-kolin for a kitten arriving from Romania. They sometimes have upset tummies after the journey. Is this useful for kittens? She is 7-8 months old.
Pro-Kolin can be used in animals from 2 weeks of age, however we always advise to consult your veterinary surgeon first before using Pro-Kolin in animals younger than 8 weeks of age.

Once this has been started how long after can it be used again, if there is any left?
Once opened, it’s best to use it within 3-6 months,

My 3 border collies weigh 15 kg each. I give them 3 ml of Pro Kaolin Advanced instead of the 6 ml as stated on the box as this is for heavier dogs. This is only available for heavier dogs but as it was an advanced formula, I thought it may be better to treat my collies hence just using half the dose. It works brilliantly but is this ok?
If your dogs weigh between 5kg and 15kg then it is advised to give 3ml of the Pro Kolin Advanced twice daily. If 15kg to 30kg then 5ml twice daily is recommended.

My dog has diabetes is this safe to give her, she sometimes has runny poos. The vet has just prescribed a similar probiotic product, but I do not want it to interfere with her glucose levels
If given at the same time as your dog's normal meals then this should not have a significant impact on the diabetes. Any addition to the diet can change your dog's insulin requirements, but you should only be giving this supplement occasionally and not in the long term so this is unlikely to cause a significant impact. If your vet has advised the use of a probiotic like this then it should be safe for use.
Claire
Hi is this suitable to give to pregnant dogs?
Yes. Pro-Kolin can be given to pregnant and lactating animals.
Julia
How many continuous days can you use the product for please?
The dosing guidelines for this product states 'Give by mouth for as long as considered necessary or as advised by your veterinary surgeon.'. You should not need the paste for more than 5 to 7 days to clear the most common causes of intestinal upset, if needed for longer then you should contact your vet to see if there is an underlying cause that needs treating.

My 12 year old lab has arthritis and is on anti-inflammatory drugs called rimadyl. As a result of these tablets he gets diarreah quite often and also gets very gassy, which makes him sick. Every so often I have to take him off the rimadyl for a couple of weeks to help his tummy get back to normal. I give him pro kolin paste when he gets diarreah but I see you sell a different kind for long term use. Do you think this would be better for him?
Protexin Prokolin Enterogenic is recommended for long term use and would be helpful in your dog. If you do find that your dog still has occasional episodes of diarrhoea it is ok to use Protexin Pro-Kolin+ for a short time before switching back to enterogenic.
