Use one sachet per day for as long as considered necessary by your veterinary surgeon.
To create an isotonic solution add one sachet to 50ml of water. It is also advisable to provide an alternative source of water.

This probiotic for rabbits and guinea pigs is the one recommended by my vet. I recently used it on two of my guinea pigs that underwent major surgery, following the surgery they were on antibiotics which can really upset the balance of their digestion, they were off their food so I added bio-lapis to their recovery food. The probiotic is in powder form which you mix with water and add to food, it smells fruity and very pleasant. I found that this product helped in the recovery of my guinea pigs and now I always keep a box in my guinea pig first aid box.

This product is great for when my rabbits get bouts of watery diarrhea. It clears it up immediately as well as replacing the good bacteria within their stomach. Although i have to syringe it orally as my rabbits wont drink it off their own back.
Has a yoghurty type smell. All in all Its a god send.

My rabbit has been producing very soft to liquid cecotrope, it was recommended to cut out vegetables and pellets from her diet until her cecotropes return to their usual consistency. I was worried in the meantime she wont get the nutrients she needs, I was wondering if this product would help and is there any additional products that would be beneficial to her.
This product would be helpful to harden up your rabbits cecotropes. A diet of mostly fibre such as good quality hay would be the most helpful. The protexin should provide her with any other essential vitamins and minerals that may otherwise be lacking. You could also have a look at the Burgess Excel Tasty Nuggets which provide a good source of fibre and are nutritionally balanced.

My rabbit struggles eating hay due to a jaw injury which had not healed 100%. This means he has developed sticky bum as he is not getting the necessary fibre from the hay. I feed high fibre nuggets but this does not help him. Unfortunately he does not like hay sticks etc so I am really struggling with his condition and am quite stressed trying to keep him clean. Is there anything he can take long term which will give him sufficient fibre to bring his cecotropes back to normal?
One way or another he needs to be swallowing fibre of the right type and size for his gut to function properly. If he cannot chew properly then this will be very difficult whatever you feed him. The pre-biotics and pro-biotics in this product are likely to help but they might not be the complete answer. Has your vet checked the rabbit's teeth recently? A jaw injury will often result in overgrown teeth and sharp spurs in the mouth, so regular filing of these might be required to help with the chewing process.

I have a house rabbit who is prone to upset tummy and gut stasis. Vet suggested a probiotic and I've noticed some owners give this daily but was wondering about the mineral content which isn't good for every day use?
The mineral content should not be a problem if this is given every day as long as your rabbit has free access to fresh water. I would say that most rabbits will not need this every day if they are on an adequately high fibre, low carbohydrate food. (Hay is the best food for rabbits, most treats and "nicer" foods are bad.) If your rabbit's teeth are already too bad to manage a mostly hay diet then a compromise will be needed. If your rabbit can eat hay properly then a short course of Bio-Lapis and a diet of mostly good quality hay with a tiny amount of other food should be all that is needed long term.
