I like the tablets with the possibility of cutting into quarters. Vets tablets do not allow this and for a small dog on one and a half tablets this is very useful. Foil wrapped is also better than loose tablets especially with ones which should not be handled .The product was as advertised and came fairly promptly. The prescription facility was also easy to use though less so where human medication is needed.

Pete.

Why do i have to wear gloves when giving my dog Prednicortone

  • VioVet Staff

This is to prevent the medication being absorbed through your skin and so affecting yourself.

Flavour

Sue

Are the tablets palatable as the ones I currently use aren’t flavoured and are extremely bitter?

  • VioVet Staff

I can confirm these tablets are flavoured and so palatable.

Drowsy?

Carol

Do these tablets make your dog very lethargic? My dog has little or no energy since takin these the past 3 days. She is a large German Shepard and taking 4 tablets in the morning. Thanks

  • VioVet Staff

Prednicortone contains prednisolone which is a steroid medication. Steroids can cause lethargy as a side effect. I recommend running this past your vet though to be certain that they are happy this is expected.
