Plaque Off Dental Bites are a unique product which discourage dental plaque from sticking to teeth and softening tartar deposits. The result of this is an improvement in breath odour followed by existing tartar softening for easy removal. Plaque Off Bites contain a special type of seaweed which should be used alongside a good oral hygiene regime.
ProDen PlaqueOff Dental Bites are an innovation, essential to your dog’s oral health.
Part of the popular PlaqueOff Animal Powder range, the Dental Bites are handy bite sized treats that your cat or dog will love. No spoons, no mess!
Unlike other methods for controlling dental plaque, PlaqueOff Dental Bites are unique, working systematically, preventing dental plaque from sticking to the teeth and softening the tartar deposits. An improvement can usually be seen by the third week of treatment.
PlaqueOff Bites have the same effect as PlaqueOff Animal powder but have been developed as an alternative method of delivery.

My two yorkies have a few of these after breakfast each morning. They are six years old now and don’t appear to have anywhere near as much tartare as my previous yorkies had despite frequent cleaning with a toothbrush.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Plaque Off Dental Bites for Dogs & Cats, including answers from our team.

Is the small pack suitable for a dog that weighs 9-10kg?
The small bag is suitable for cats or dogs up to 10kg, so yes this would be appropriate for your 9-10kg dog.

Are these ok to give if your dog has pancreatitis
Plaque Off Dental Bites are perfectly safe for the average dog, however dogs prone to pancreatitis are very sensitive to any dietary changes. I recommend avoiding any dietary changes where possible, including adding in treats, and sticking to a low fat diet to prevent any future episodes. The benefit to your dog's teeth is outweighed by the risk of setting off the pancreatitis in this instance.
If you are wanting to help your dog's teeth then I strongly advise brushing them. This is safe in a dog with pancreatitis. More info can be found in our blog 'How to brush your dogs teeth'.

I’ve been using the powder for months now, and also a water additive (which one of my cats dislikes). Sadly both cats still require cleaning under anaesthetic!
Do these get used instead of the powder?
Is it safe to use water additives too?
Do I need to give daily? How many? How often? When?
Do I need to adjust food intake?
These bites are intended for use as an alternative to the powder. Like the powder they are safe to give alongside a water additive. Please see dosing instructions below:

How many bites approx in a bag. We have five dogs.
Hello,
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not specifically state how many bites there are per pack.
However they do state there is a minimum of 1 month's use per pack for 1 dog.
I do hope this helps.

Hello, I have four cats and was wondering, the 150 gram bag is this ok to feed the cats, is the product the same as the smaller 60 gram bag, just in a bigger bag?
Three cats are 11 and one is nearly 18, is this ok?
In answer to your question, the product is the same in both size bags. The 150g size is slightly larger than the 60g size and both are ok to feed to your cats.
