Most dogs love to go travelling with their owners, but as your dog grows older and becomes less agile, jumping in and out of the car can be a challenge, and the jarring motion may put unnecessary strain on their spine and joints. The Pet Gear Tri-Fold Pet Ramp is ideal for dogs that that have difficulty getting in and out of vehicles, and is suitable for larger dogs that have mobility problems, as well as for smaller dogs that simply can't reach! This versatile ramp can also be used indoors to help dogs that have difficulty with climbing the stairs, and can help ease access to beds and couches.
At 20" this model is the widest full-length pet ramp in its class, helping your pet feel more secure, and making it easy for them to go up or down the ramp. In addition, the raised edges help prevent your pet from slipping off the side, and the textured surface provides traction to keep them sure-footed. The Rubberised bottom grippers hold the ramp firmly in place, and a safety tether secures the ramp to the back of most vehicles.
When extended the ramp measures 70" (178cm) long x 20" (51cm) wide and is suitable for dogs weighing up to 200lbs (90kgs), but the clever design means it folds down quickly and easily to a compact and portable 24" x 20", and with its attached handle it can be conveniently carried like a briefcase. The weight of the ramp itself is 11.5kg.

This is very well made and my two heavy dogs are very happy to use it but beware, it is heavy to lift around and fold and worse, the surface is SO rough (good for the dogs) that you can easily damage the car when you put it away folded. I have had to recover the surfaces to make it transportable.

Does the job well. Dog initially nervous about it, but warmed to it after a couple of trips. Tha sandpaper on the tread is already breaking up, and will be replaced by rubber mat the tether that is meant to secure the ramp to the car was torn when it arrived, but the ramp is secure enough without it

We brought this for my 55kilo dog who had TPLO surgery in September.
It hasn’t been the best for him. He struggles to get up it and all though it supposed to be non slip he slips every time. One time slipped and fell off it.
It’s far to heavy to lift in and out of the car and takes up 3/4 of my back seat.
Not a good purchase for us but other people seem to be very happy with it.
As far a price goes if it worked for us the price is comparable to other ramps

Very good product, I was initially dubious about this working as some of the reviews were uncomplimentary.
However for my dog this ramp is brilliant, He is a giant breed weighing 55kg so not a dog easily lifted. However with the aid of this ramp I can now get him in and out of our car by myself. He has no problem using the ramp which wide, sturdy and non slip. The ramp is also a good angle, not too steep.
I would definitely recommend this product.

This has been the best money ever spent. This is a strong robust ramp that will help the biggest of dogs get in and out the car, or up any steep stair or step. I bought this ramp for my 9yr old German Shepard to help her into the car and save her joints. The width of the ramp made it easy for us to train her to use it without fear of slipping off the side. All other ramps are only 12” up to 17” wide which can be scary for your fur baby to use, but with this ramp being 20” wide there is no fear of them falling off. Sturdy quality built with a good anti slip surface. The only negative I would say is it is quite heavy to lift the ramp into and out of your car. But I love this ramp and wish I had bought it years ago

The ramp weighs 11.8kg and is made out of strong plastic with a textured top for extra grip.
