PURINA® PROPLAN® VETERINARY DIETS Feline EN St/Ox Gastrointestinal is a highly palatable complete veterinary diet to help manage gastrointestinal conditions in cats of all ages, including kittens. Intestinal disorders are frequently associated with poor digestion, which may worsen symptoms, so PPVD EN contains selected highly digestible ingredients to help reduce the workload on the compromised gut and to minimise the amount of nutrients that are not absorbed and remain in the gut. It also contains a limited number of protein sources to help minimise any food reactions. PPVD Feline EN contains prebiotics and omega-3 fatty acids to help promote a healthy intestinal environment, of all ages

Our cat loves these healthy wet food pouches. Our vet couldn't supply the salmon flavour but we had no trouble getting them with Viovet.

My twelve year old cat has IBS and bought this on the advice of our vet but unfortunately he will not eat it. Will eat a tiny bit of the salmon flavour so a bit of a waste of money as it's not cheap.
Customer does not recommend this product
I buy this food for my cat Marti as it's the only one she will eat. It was recommended by my vet as Marti has suspected IBS and has a very sensitive tummy. It seems to keep her fed and well! It is a bit bland, according to the vet, but it's what she needsto stop tummy flare ups.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding PRO PLAN VETERINARY DIETS EN Gastrointestinal Wet Cat Food, including answers from our team.
Donna Farnaby
My cat has recently been diagnosed with ibs and advised to change his food. Would this food be suitable? He only really eats pate type food, what consistency is this particular food?
This depends on the cause of the IBS. If there is a food allergy component, ie certain food ingredients can trigger your cats symptoms, then it may not be suitable. It is therefore best to run the use of it past your vet to check. Purina Pro Plan EN is a good diet for supporting the intestinal system but it may not be suitable for a cat with allergies. Purina HA may be more appropriate in this case.
Yes this diet has a pate consistency.
Gill Grigg
Is this food suitable for a cat with suspected liver problems?
This diet is intended to help with intestinal issues. It is unlikely to worsen any liver problems but is also unlikely to specifically help a liver issue. I recommend discussing with your what diet would be appropriate, Purina also have a liver diet range that may be more suitable.
