45 Great product

I wished I'd bought it sooner, for my poorly pet, easy for them to drink and digest. You can freeze in ice cube trays to use later on, as obviously once open it has to be consumed within a certain amount of time.

I have an elderly rescue cat who has had health issues, since using this product her skin is much less flaky her fur has improved and her appetite is so much better, she used to be sick a lot, since using Oralade, this has stopped, I am so pleased to have found something that gives my cat a better quality of life.

This was originally prescribed by the vet as Muffin was very dehydrated. I just pour some on his food each night and by morning it's all gone! He's doing well now. Thanks.

45 Oralade Cat is Cool

An extremely useful product which we first used when both of our cats were very poorly but had no appetite. Although they are now recovered and well, we continue to use the Oralade for one of the cats who has a long term inappetance issue. We have found that freezing it into ice cubes allows us to easily give one a day as a treat/appetiser.

My cat ryouh was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and the vet wanted to put him down. I refused without giving him a fighting chance. I syringe fed him, begging him to survive long enough for this to arrive. And when it came it only took 20ml and two days before he was interested in normal types of food again.
When I told the vet I had ordered this for him her reply was that oralade wasn't for Cats with kidney disease........ Correct, normal oralade for cats and dogs doesn't mention kidney disease, but oralade cat...... Specifically stated kidney disease on its label. So I'm guessing she's only had dealing with the less specific oralade.
Everything I've done for ryouh has been off my own back, without any help from my vets.
I cannot rate oralade cat enough.........
And 3 weeks later my little man is fighting his corner well . He now has a diet of varying foods with added vitamins and minerals and ipakitine powder, I've also just added regutum fiber care (from viovet) to his diet also.........
And he's gone from me begging him to survive to him bunny hopping me and giving me love nips like he used to.
I can't thank viovet enough.

And its been a lesson to me also.
I'm now caring for him by myself and using my vets practice only in emergencies.......... Always check the Internet for better prices........... Yes, vets care for animals......... But they're also a business, there to make money.

I've also bought an extra bottle that I'm going to freeze into ice cubes for easy portion control, because most of the last bottle was wasted as it wasn't all used, but due to the fact that 3 of my 5 cats are 13+ I'd rather have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it like I did with ryouh.

And I recommend it to anyone who mentions their cat is unwell 😊 even if they're doing what I have and buy it to freeze it to have for an emergency I well recommend it.

Q & A

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Oralade RF Support for Cats, including answers from our team.

Oral axe for Cats RF Support

Eunice

Is this a supplement for use instead of a renal diet, or as well as? Thanks

  • VioVet Staff

This is not a suitable replacement for a renal diet, but it is useful for cats recovering from an episode of kidney disease or intestinal upset. It is a useful supportive diet if your cat is refusing to eat as much as they should and you are wanting to ensure hydration/nutrition levels are kept up.

Oralade for cats with ckd and pancreatitis

Louise

Hi
My nearly 14 year old cat is recovering from recent hospitalisation and the vet recommended oralade for cat’s and dogs.
He had chronic kidney disease and pancreatitis.
Would the specific cat one be better for him rather than the cat and dog one?
Thanks
Louise

  • VioVet Staff

Yes the Oralade RF would be better for your cat who has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, it is specially formulated to meet the needs of a cat with Renal (kidney) failure.

Oralade RF Support?

Kate

  • VioVet customer since 2017

-Is it an old version of Oralade RF Support for cats?
http://oraladevet.com/products/oralade-rf-support/
-Can you please add Oralade RF Support 330ml to Viovet stock?

  • VioVet Staff

Hello,

Thank you for your query.

This product has been updated with new packaging and also a new shaped bottle. This used to be called the RF Support but is now just Oralade For Cats.

The formula is exactly the same and is suitable for cats with renal issues.

I hope this helps.
