55 Finally! flubenvet powder

Last year I could only get the medicated feed for my girls and as it was a different food they didn't eat much at all so didn't get the proper dose. This time was so much better as Agatha (Queen of the Coop) and her ladies in waiting gobbled up their regular food and got a proper dose!
The sanitising powder was brilliant and although the size I purchased was enough I'll get the largest next time (better value).both excellent products.

45 Convenient and easy to use

A great product for freshening up the floor of the henhouse and around the pen, especially if your chickens are not able to free-range every day. I clear out the hardwood chippings I put down in the run every few months and use this product in between times to keep the run sanitised. Easy to measure out and sprinkle around. It needs to be stored indoors to stop it going lumpy.

I use Net-Tex sanitising powder in the Chicken Runs to help protect my chooks from picking up any parasites from their droppings or from wild birds that visit to see if there is any food left in the troughs.

Can the chickens stay in the coop?

Mrs B Kerfoot

My husband as just bought the sanitising powder does he have to take the chickens out of the coop before sprinkling the powder or can we leave them in if they have to be removed how long is it before we can put them back

  • VioVet Staff

It is advisable to take the chickens out when sprinkling because of the dust and potential respiratory effect during such powder application. Your chickens can go straight back in once you have finished the application.
