Unfortunately this didn't agree with my dog. I started with a small dose and he ate his food with it twice but was a little sick and now he won't touch his food with it in, I've had to order another product unfourturantly and don't want to keep trying to make him take it.

Our 9 year old collie X has hip dysplasia + osteoarthritis and had lost her spring! Was recommended this product by another dog owner. Since taking this our dog has seemed more comfortable. Initially wasn't sure how to measure out the quantity as had never seen a bottle like it before, but once shown by hubby it is very simple to do. Put this in her breakfast and she eats it with no problem.

What's in it

Mrs Gallop

I am allergic to all seafood. What are the ingredients, and would I be able to give it to my Labrador.

  • VioVet Staff

Unfortunately all good joint supplements are shellfish based. If your allergy is severe and is set off by skin contact then you may need to avoid common joint supplements, the Glucosamine in this product will be sourced from shellfish.
I recommend checking out omega oils that are not seafood based if you wish to try something to help the joints of your labrador. Recent evidence has shown that omega oils can be beneficial for the joint. Our own brand EpiGlow would be a good choice. it is targeted for the skin because this is the main use of omega oils, however in your situation this may be the best alternative. The omega oils in this are plant based.
