Delivery of aerosols

Due to air freight restrictions aerosols cannot ever be sent abroad by Royal Mail. We appreciate your understanding.

Delivery of temperature controlled items

Some products, such as insulin and frozen food, need to be delivered in insulated packaging to prevent them from getting too warm (or too cold) during transit from us to you. Purchasing any of these items in your order will result in a £1.99 charge being added to the total to cover the high cost of the insulated packaging materials. You only pay the £1.99 once per order, regardless of how many temperature controlled items you purchase in that order.

Please call us as soon as possible if you need to amend or cancel an order on 01582 842096. If your order has been processed for dispatch we will be unable to cancel or amend the order. You will however be able to return your product for a full refund*.

To return an item, you must contact us by phone or email to arrange this BEFORE posting any product back to us. We will explain the process at this stage for you.

My puppy eats this

Jennifer Harrison

Hi
I feed my 1year old Chihuahua this and she loves it, I have just got another Chihuahua puppy 8 weeks old, and she won't eat anything other than this, so I am giving her puppy milk also. Is she getting enough of all the nutrients a puppy needs for healthy growth? As I know this is for adults, I have tried her with numerous puppy foods and she just walks away.
By the way she took this out of the other dogs bowl, when we removed it to try and force her to eat puppy food, she just cried and cried till we gave in after a whole day of nothing to eat, she is only very tiny but she eats this like there is no tomorrow.

I hope you get back to me quickly as I am worried I am doing the wrong think in letting her have it, my friend says she shouldn't have it, please help. Thank you.

Regards Jennifer

This is a complete food with all required nutrients and your puppy could do very well indeed on this food and water, with nothing else at all. If she takes some puppy milk as well then that is fine, but I would not be too worried if she does not.

The whole issue of "life stage diets", meaning foods tailored for dogs of different ages, is largely a commercial marketing strategy from the food companies. There is genuinely a slight difference in nutrient requirements of dogs of different ages, but it is tiny and not really important, especially for small breeds. The only time when it is perhaps of greater importance is in the feeding of giant breeds such as Great Danes etc. They grow so quickly that the nutrition of their puppies is more critical. You can feed the adult HiLife Complete to your puppy and not worry.
