For lasting natural performance, optimal joint health and mobility. Flexadin UCII contains patented natural type II collagen, MSM and chelated manganese.
FLEXADIN UC2 is an original complementary feeding stuff formulation based on a revolutionary concept, a patented* undenatured (natural) type II collagen (UC2) in combination with MSM and Ipaligo Manganese. UC2’s difference lies in its patented extraction process that ensures the undenatured (natural) preservation of its natural triple helix structure as opposed to the hydrolysed collagens often employed. This natural form enables it to behave differently from other type II collagen ingredients once administered to the horse. Upon reaching the small intestine, UC2’s novel interaction with the digestive tract is thought to explain its capacity to contribute to the continuing good health and mobility of the horse’s joints. MSM is a naturally occurring sulphur compound and nutritional component of many foods. Bioavailable sulphur is an important component of the glycosaminoglycans GAG matrix. The readily assimilated chelated manganese plays a key role as a co-factor during healthy collagen synthesis.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Equistro Flexadin UC2 For Horses, including answers from our team.
Why do you need a loading dose for the equine product when you don't for the canine product?
The original Flexadin chews for dogs contain Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Manganese which are all thought to improve cartilage health. It has been shown that a loading dose of these ingredients is beneficial and is recommended in the feeding guidelines. Flexadin Advanced contains an undenatured type 2 collagen which works in an entirely different way. It acts to modulate the bodies own immune response via lymphoid nodules in the small intestine to reduce the inflammation in the joints. A given amount is required to trigger the response and is the same in every dog regardless of weight therefore no loading dose is required. Equistro Flexadin UC2 for horses contains the undenatured type 2 collagen as well which we know doesn't require a loading dose but also contains Manganese and MSM for which a loading dose is recommended. So to summarise original Flexadin and Flexadin UC2 for horses require a loading dose where Flexadin Advanced does not.
Hi there, I have a 16 yr old Mare who has had lots of problems including severe Kissing spines & arthritis. I am looking for a supplement having tried many over the years to help support her general mobility and help keep her flexible so that she can be comfortable. She is not ridden as is retired so would this product make a difference to her overall comfort?
This is a good product to try, but it is impossible to say in advance how effective it will be. The response to all supplements varies considerably from one individual to another. This is probably down to different factors causing the observed symptoms in the first place. (The accuracy of the diagnosis is not always totally secure and complete, due to the very nature of this type of problem and the difficulty with investigating it thoroughly. There will sometimes be a few different factors contributing to the observed problem and then its further development.) This is a logical choice of product to try and it is as likely as any of the other mobility supplements to suit your horse, but we cannot guarantee it will make her more comfortable. It might do and is worth a try, then you have to assess her movement to see if things are looking better.
