Description

A blend of turmeric and black pepper to promote healthy skin, coat, digestion and joints. Turmeric helps with:

Antioxidant properties
Helps maintain healthy joints
Supports healthy skin and coat condition

Black pepper included to aid absorption

The main active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, which has been identified as a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant in humans and is reputed to be beneficial in horses. It can be used to maintain healthy joints, promote good digestion and support a healthy skin & coat.
Black pepper has been included to aid the absorption of the active ingredients into the body. It may also be beneficial to feed turmeric in conjunction with a high quality oil, such as Linseed Oil.

Feeding Guidelines:

  • Ponies and smaller horses 2 scoops per day
  • Larger horses 3 scoops per day
  • 1 scoop (15ml) = 10g

As with any new feed or supplement, we would recommend introducing it to your horse’s diet gradually over a few weeks.

Pregnancy & Laction - Speak to your vet before administering to pregnant or lactating mares.

Warnings & Contraindications - Curcumin has been reported to affect iron metabolism so we would not recommend feeding turmeric to horses with anaemia. Tumeric may stain.

2kg will last 66 days for large horses; 100 days for ponies and small horses

This product is intended for use in horses only so it is not advised to give to your dogs, it is unknown as to whether it is safe for this use.
We stock Turmeric products for dogs so I recommend searching our website for these instead.
