Anigene HLD4V High Level Disinfectant Cleaner has been specially formulated to provide an economic, environmentally friendly and effective product. This bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal and sporicidal product has enhanced security, safety and simplicity and offers dilutions for virtually all environmental challenges.

It can be used for all reception areas, surfaces and equipment in veterinary surgeries and for all disinfection applications in kennels, catteries and other animal habitats. It is suitable for use on most surfaces, chairs, floors, walls and appliances.


Materials Compatibility

Independent laboratory testing demonstrates no corrosion or deterioration of the following materials, even after long-term repeated immersions:

Rubber compounds, Plastics, Fibreglass, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium, Copper, Brass and other materials found in clinical practice, in particular, synthetic floors, instruments and devices.


General conditions

  • wash down floors, walls and animal habitats (unoccupied) with ANIGENE HLD4V at a dilution of 1:100

High risk

  • Spray or wipe down examination tables, quarantine areas and surgical surfaces with ANIGENE HLD4V at a dilution of 1:50
  • For soaking of bedding, use ANIGENE HLD4V at a dilution of 1:50 for 20 minutes then wash as normal

ANIGENE HLD4V (Dill fragrance) is included on the approved list of disinfectants under General Orders at a dilution of 1:20. All disinfectants tested by the AHVLA are required to comply with the Biocidal products Directive (BPD)

ANIGENE HLD4V is manufactured in accordance with quality Management System ISO 9001 and is biodegradable under OECD conditions.

The HLD4 formula is being supported through BPD and REACH and contains no substances classified as dangerous to health.

Unopened ANIGENE HLD4V concentrate has a shelf life of 3 years, factory diluted product has a shelf life o 2 years and customer diluted of 6 months.

Does this kill Giardia spores?

As per the title, my vet wasn't sure. He suggested Tristel Anistel, but this is out of stock in the small size.

This product should be effective against Giardia spores as long as there is not a lot of organic debris around and you follow the dilution instructions. A lot of dirt will get in the way of most disintectants, so everything needs to be cleaned before it is disinfected.

Anigene for use on grass

My 9week old has been diagnosed with giardia and cocchidia contracted before I had her. She has been using back garden for toileting. Is anigene safe and effective to use on grass? As well as bedding and floors?

I am uncertain that you will be able to effectively treat grass in this way. However it is unlikely that you will need to. Washing grassed areas (rain or hose pipe) should be adequate. You should of course observe basic hygiene when cleaning up the lawn after your puppy has toileted there. It is pretty easy to do that adequately to protect the health of yourself and other people. Your puppy is unlikely to re-infect itself from this route. Its own immune system will be what eventually clears the infections and that should prevent re-infection. Anigene is safe and effective for use on floors and bedding, after you have cleaned them as required and this is a sensible precaution to take indoors.

Hi I'm wondering if this is suitable for use around newborn puppies?

This should be fine if diluted as directed, then dried after cleaning before the puppies are in contact with treated surfaces.
