Is amodip for cats same as for dogs? I have a prescription but can't find it for dogs anywhere?
There is only one type of Amodip tablet currently, the 1.25mg version for cats. There are no licensed versions of this medication (amlodipine) for use in dogs and therefore many vets will prescribe this cat version for dogs, as it is the most appropriate option.

Can the pill be halved?

The medication data sheet states that there is a score line on one side, so they can be divided into two equal parts.
As this is a prescription only medication we are unable to advise on the dose your dog would need, this would be down to your vet. If the decide your dog needs a whole tablet and you want to split it to hide in food easier though, this would be possible.
