YuMOVE Joint Care for Senior Dogs | Previously YuMOVE Senior

It's never too late to invest in your dog's wellness. And with YuMOVE Joint Care for Senior Dogs (previously YuMOVE Senior Dog), your dog will only be as old as they feel. This clinically proven formula is packed with high-quality ingredients to help your senior dog live their best life.

YuMOVE's unique form of ActivEase® Green Lipped Mussel (GLM) contains higher levels of Omega-3 fatty acids than other standard GLM powders. It's a similar story with Hyaluronic Acid. YuMOVE's particular version is proven to reach your dog's joints within just 2 hours. Combined, the unique ingredients in YuMOVE deliver the optimal recipe to aid stiff joints.

Recommended for older dogs, or dogs who require extra joint support, YuMOVE Joint Care for Senior Dogs works to keep your dog active for life in three ways – soothing stiff joints, supporting joint structure and helping mobility. The best part? You'll see visible results in just 6 weeks.*

Plus, they're easy to give and taste great, too. Simply add the daily amount to your dog's food or let them eat it straight from your hand. This way, you and your dog can share great moments for longer.

YuMOVE have been researching their supplements for more than 15 years. But they’ve been pet lovers for a lot longer. That’s why their joint-soothing supplements are not only proven in the park, but also in the vet’s practice.

Your dog deserves the best, no matter their age. Don't just take their word for it, though. YuMOVE is the UK’s no.1 veterinary joint supplement brand**, and they help over 1.7 million dogs globally every year.*** What are you waiting for? Make every day an adventure with YuMOVE.

Youmove Senor and kidney disease

Jilly woolston

Hi
Our Collie has early stage kidney disease is this product suitable for use as he has become very stiff getting up of the floor but enjoys a walk when he lumbers up. He generally has a very stiff walk around the house. Otherwise greedy and healthy!
Many thanks
Jilly

  • VioVet Staff

This supplement could help the stiffness if it is related to joint disease, like arthritis. However you will need to run the use of any supplements past your vet first if your dog has kidney disease. Early stage should be fine, especially if your dog is not on any special diet, but any change in diet can affect the kidneys which includes the addition of a supplement. Your vet is in the best place to let you know if supplements are safe for your pet.

Pancreatitis

Can this supplement be taken alongside a dog with pancreatitis?

  • VioVet Staff

Dogs with pancreatitis can be sensitive to any dietary change. It likely will be safe but I would run any use past your vet first. Unflavoured joint supplements such as Synoquin EFA capsules are slightly safer as there is no chance of a reaction to the flavouring. However all joint supplements are shellfish based and severe cases of pancreatitis can react to this.

5 April 2021 at 7:53am

Can this be taken with other joint drugss

Helen

Can I use this alongside Loxicon which the vet prescribed for my dogs joint stiffness?

  • VioVet Staff

Yes YuMove is perfectly safe to use alongside NSAID drugs like Loxicom, in fact it is usually advised as they both help control joint disease.. Any treatment changes should be run past your vet though just to make sure they are safe.

Kidney disease

katy perry

my ridgeback has stage 2 kidney disease and is on a renal diet and medication. can he still take these. hes 11 years old and suffers a bit from arthritis.
thanks katy.
ps if yes is senior one the correct one?

  • VioVet Staff

YuMove tablets do contain small amounts of protein flavouring within that could be an issue for a pet with particularly sensitive kidney disease. I would recommend using an unflavoured Joint supplement in a dog with kidney disease. Synoquin EFA capsules would work well, they can be opened to be sprinkled onto the food and only contain the active ingredients themselves.

Age

Tracey Carruthers

At what age would you consider my dog is senior... she is a 9 year old German Shepard.

  • VioVet Staff

Generally a dog is considered 'Senior' at 7 years old for a large or giant breed dog (such as your German Shepherd), and 10 years olf for small/medium breeds.
