55 Good food

Ferrets love the food and as far as I can see it is much better quality than James Wellbeloved Ferret Complete. I'm not overly keen on the small kibble and wish they were bigger but the JW food used to sometimes get stuck at the roof of the ferrets' mouths and this doesn't happen with the smaller kibbles. I feed a mix of different foods, including some grain free and one oral cat kibble.

My ferrets have been living on it for 3 years now, they love it! Very high in protein and mostly made of chicken, unlike other ferret kible products. Also lasts me about half a year on 2 ferrets with constant refills in their bowl daily so it's definately good value for money in my opinion.

Ferrets eating it and putting on Winter weight.
Think they prefered the previous brand we used.
Cheaper than previous brand and as said above they are eating it and putting on weight.
Can't be bad then.

55 Very pleased

Due to the current shortage of a well known ferret food I decided to change it. Ferrets are renown for not changing their diet so was pleasantly surprized they actually tried it. I have gradually added Vitalin to the food bowl and they are now choosing to eat it. Would recommended this food to anyone finding themselves in the same position. The texture is similar, the shape like little half moons which the packaging doesn't show. Had it been the familiar star shape I think they would have taken to it even quicker. The ingredients are similar but this one is hypoallergenic and wheat gluten free.

55 Best quality ferret food

I have been buying Vitalin since our ferret was fully grown. The best quality around and he doesn’t go through it as fast as other brands, which in my eyes means better ingredients and more nutritional value.

I have a ferret that is being treated for insulinoma would this be ok as I've been told that any wheat or cereals would be bad and needs all protein, currently fed on raw meat mainly heart but hate having it in my fridge and it's hard to use before it goes off
Thank you

There is a lot of rice in this diet and it is not ideal for your ferret. It would be better perhaps to get a variety of fresh meats and freeze them into small, individual portions so they keep better.
