55 Vetruus Otodine Ear Cleaner

My Vet recommended Otodine ear cleaner, but was expensive from My Vet, looked at Your products and found it a lot cheaper. My Cocker Spaniel's ears are prone to infection, but with regular use I hope infections for Her will be a thing of the past. I would highley recommend this product to anyone whose dog is prone to infection.

This was recommended by a vet to clean my dogs ears when he arrived as a foster. He had very bad ear infections. We now use this regularly as a preventative measure and we've had no problems since

This is a simple way to stop my cocker spaniel many trips to the vet. As you know cockers have long ears and are suspect to ear problems.

Ear drops

Diane

My dog has very bad yeast infection in her ears. What would you recommend I use to clear it up.

  • VioVet Staff

It sounds like you will need to see your vet for prescription ear drops. Most of these contain anti-fungal medication needed to clear up yeast infections which the non-prescription ear cleaners don't. Once you have seen your vet and they have confirmed the ear drum is intact (I cannot stress how important this is) you could try using white vinegar mixed equally with water which makes the ear a less favourable environment for yeast. For an average size dog 10 drops in each ear is enough- massage the ear and wipe away any excess but don't stick anything down the ear such as cotton wool.
