I thought I'd give this a go as my elderly dogs breathe was becoming a little overpowering. I am pleasantly surprised as it seems to have improved it massively as a result I've reordered.

Use this product for about 6 months, seen a great improvement to my dogs teeth. Put one cap full in her water in the morning when I know she will drink a lot when she returns from her walk.

Kidney and Liver disease

Angel

Hi. Is this product safe to give to an old dog whos kidneys and liver have started to show signs of wear and tear?

  • VioVet Staff

The ingredients within this product should not cause any issues with the liver or kidney, however the answer to your question does depend on the severity of the liver/kidney disease your dog has. If severe then any additions to the diet can be an issue. I recommend discussing this with your vet to be safe.

Adult or puppy?

Angela McCarthy

I have a 10 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, with an extremely sensitive stomach. Should I use the adult or puppy? Thank you

  • VioVet Staff

You should use the puppy version until your dog is of adult age, which is around 12 to 18 months depending on breed. For a Staffie this will be around 12 to 15 months of age.
TropiClean does not contain any ingredients that normally set off food intolerances, however it is not possible guarantee a sensitive dog will not be set off by any supplement given.

Puppy

Lauren

I’m looking to purchase this for my 10 month old border collie, would you recommend the puppy or adult product?

  • VioVet Staff

Generally a dog is considered a puppy until 12-18 months old depending on the breed. I would recommend using the puppy version for your 10 month old, a Border Collie can switch onto adult products anytime from around 14-16 months old.

Will this aggravate my dogs condition

Paul Norman

Hi, My 13 year old Cocker Spaniel suffers from acute Pancreatitis. The only food that he is allowed to have and keeps him from suffering is Royal Canin Low fat Gastrointestinal wet & dry. If he has anything other than his food (eating wise) he suffers straight away. Because we cant give him chews or anything like that, his breath is not good. Do you think that if we were to use this product, it would aggravate his condition. I would like to try something but dont want to chance anything that would make him suffer in any way.

  • VioVet Staff

This product would be very unlikely to trigger another bout of pancreatitis and should be perfectly safe to try in your dog. However I would say that pancreatitis is a poorly understood condition which can flare up without any apparent reason on occasions. It is never possible to be sure that your dog will not suffer again, but with care it is usually controlled perfectly well.

Luckily with the Tropiclean Fresh Breath Water Additive you do not need to go near their teeth. Simply add 1 tablespoon to your cat's water each time you refill their bowl.
