TrizAural is alkalising and antibacterial ear flush for cleaning and/or pre-treatment prior to application of specific ear canal preparations. Useful where gram negative bacteria have been identified in cytology testing. TrizAural potentiates the effect of topical disinfectants or antibiotics in cases of gram negative bacterial infections.
Contains: water, tromethamine USP, disodium EDTA, Trizma hydrochloride.
Directions: TrizAural should ideally be administered at body temperature. Apply to ear and gently, but firmly, massage the base of the ear. Use a cotton ball to remove excess solution. Repeat as necessary or as directed by your veterinary surgeon.

It was vet recommended for my previous elderly Cavalier who had a stubborn infection. My current dog seemed to react badly to the first two cheaper everyday dog ear cleaners then I remembered I had an unopened bottle of trizaural in the cupboard and it seems to suit her fine.

Yes this can be used a a general ear cleaner but only alongside veterinary advice, according to the manufacturer recommendations.
