Fastening and adjusting

My windows are longer so it is possible to cut them to fit. Also how are they fastened to the frame ?

  • VioVet Staff

The Trixie Protective Grille for Windows (Top/Bottom Panel) is extendable and designed to fit window openings between approximately 75 cm and 125 cm in length by sliding the panels to size, so cutting is not recommended and may damage the product or affect its structural integrity. If your windows are longer than 125 cm, you may need to use two grilles or look for a fixed-size alternative. The grille is fastened to the window frame using brackets that can be either screwed into place or attached with adhesive pads, depending on the frame material and your preference. The brackets allow the grille to be securely mounted while also making it removable if needed, for example, to open or clean the window.

If I screw on or glue how do I close my windows at night

  • VioVet Staff

You only screw/glue the grille to the outter part of the window - not the inner window frame.

When you close the window the grille will be positioned above the inner frame inside of your home.
