Description

Containing the same trusted active ingredients found in leading brands, our advanced formula quickly and effectively kills fleas, ticks and biting lice. It also stops flea eggs from hatching, breaking the life cycle to protect your pet and home from infestation.

Our treatment comes in an easy to use spot on pipette which provides lasting cover. Use one pipette every 4 weeks to ensure your pet and home are fully protected year round.

Contains the active ingredients Fipronil and (S)-methoprene. For external use only. It is recommended to avoid bathing/allowing your pet to swim for 48 hours after application.

How to use:

  1. Remove the pipette from the foil packet and snap off the narrow end

  2. Part your pet’s coat between the shoulder blades to expose the skin

  3. Place the tip of the pipette on the exposed skin and squeeze the entire contents onto the skin, avoiding the coat.

Do the cat and dog treatments contain the same ingredients?

  • VioVet Staff

Yes — both the dog and cat (and ferret) versions of VioVet TermaFlea™ COMBO contain the same active ingredients: Fipronil and (S)-methoprene

However, the formulations differ by concentration and dosage, as they are tailored to the species and body weight:

Does Tema spot on cause skin reaction?

Anthea

Does Tema spot on cause skin reaction? In the past some brands have caused a lot of itching or fur going white.

  • VioVet Staff

Spot‑on flea and tick treatments like TermaFlea™ COMBO (with active ingredients fipronil and (S)-methoprene) are effective—but on rare occasions, pets can experience skin reactions. These are typically local (not systemic), but it’s understandable to be cautious if your pet has shown sensitivity before.

Bathing after flea treatment

Tina Pearce

How long do I have to wait to bath my dog after flea spot on. Thanks

  • VioVet Staff

For most spot-on flea treatments, you should wait at least 48 hours (2 days) before bathing your dog. This allows the treatment to properly absorb and spread through the skin, ensuring maximum effectiveness.

Dose for BIG dogs?

Jenny

I have a 12 month old Irish Wolfhound who currently weighs 60kg. What would be the correct dose for him please?

  • VioVet Staff

This product would not be suitable for a 60kg dog. I would recommend using frontline plus.

How often

Tam

Hi i have a large dog size - it says you get 3 pipettes in a pack does that mean you use one pipettes a month so it lasts 3 months

  • VioVet Staff

If your dog weighs between 20-40kg you will need the large dog treatment, and you apply 1 pipette at the back of the neck every 1 month.

Advice

Sarah Smith

  • From: Bucks, United Kingdom

Is one pipette enough for a large cat?
Other treatments seem to go by the weight of the cat.

  • VioVet Staff

One pipette of 0.5 ml per cat, corresponding to a minimum recommended dose of 5mg/kg for fipronil and 6 mg/kg for (S)-methoprene, by topical application to the skin.

It's important to have a good understanding of your pets weight, as the dosage is based on weight. Underdosing will mean the treatment may be ineffective, and overdosing will put your pet at risk of adverse reactions.

How long to wait betwee giving flea and worming treatments?

Carra

I've just purchased Termaworm and Termaflea for our yorkshire terrier 6.1kg. The data sheets and Q&A don't mention anything about how long to wait between giving both treatments. Some info says 48 hours, others say 2 weeks. Does it depend if different or same brand of treatments are used? Many thanks.

  • VioVet Staff

The two products can be given safely together at the same time, they do not share the same ingedients.. Our usual advice is to dose any flea/worming medication a day or two apart though just in case your dog reacts to one of the medications. You can then work out which product is the issue.
Reactions to medications however are extremely rare so do not let this worry you.
