My horse prefers the more expensive Horselyx lick. The tub it comes in is substantial enough and has a handy carry handle.

I thought I'd try this as the horses are out all summer, very popular so will reorder. Seems much better value than most.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding SmartLick Original Lick, including answers from our team.
Clare Cross
Is this horse lick suitable for a horse with EMS? What is the sugar content?
SmartLick Original Lick contains molasses and delivers ~50 g sugar per day via licking.
EMS management requires minimizing NSCs—best kept under ~10-12% of dry matter in forage, and avoiding added sugars altogether.
Therefore, SmartLick is generally not recommended for horses with EMS unless explicitly designed for low-sugar metabolic care.

Can these be used for donkeys?
Yes, SmartLick have confirmed this can be used in donkeys.
