SPECIFIC (Dechra)

SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W INTENSIVE SUPPORT is a high energy and highly digestible wet food packed with nutrients to help your dog or cat regain their strength and health during recovery.
Extra palatable to encourage eating even when unwell.

Try serving this food at room or body temperature and in several small meals a day to encourage appetite.

For adult dogs and cats during convalescence and recovery.

  • High Energy and nutrients - High levels of energy, fat, protein and other essential nutrients support recovery and allow a reduction in the required amount of food, which is an advantage for dogs and cats with an increased requirement and/or reduced food intake
  • Immune Support - Contains ß-1,3/1,6-glucans and increased levels of omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, selenium and arginine to support the immune status. Beta-glucans can bind to macrophages and alert the immune system, thereby supporting the immune response and altering cytokine production
  • Cachexia & recovery support - The high energy density, high concentration of essential nutrients, high digestibility and excellent palatability support recovery from disease, surgery, injuries or periods of debility
  • Tube Feeding - The special soft texture, which will become more liquid after stirring, makes it also suitable for syringe and tube feeding. For use in small tubes it is recommended to add 1 or 2 parts of water

Ingredients

Chicken, pork, fish, egg powder, fish oil, potato starch, potato protein, minerals, vitamins and trace elements (including chelated trace elements), sunflower oil, psyllium husk, dextrose,
xylose, taurine, yeast (source of β-1,3/1,6-glucans), L-carnitine. Contains no added artificial colours or flavourings.

Feeding guidelines (in grams)

The daily individual requirement may vary depending on the clinical condition of the dog or cat and other factors such a breed, environment, season, activity etc. It is recommended to continue monitoring the clinical condition and the body weight of the dog or cat and to adjust the amount fed accordingly.

  • A - Cage rest
  • B - Minor trauma, minor surgery
  • C - Major trauma, sepsis, burns
  • D - Maintenance adult cat, end of recovery period
  • E - Maintenance adult dog, end of recovery period
